NEW York Jets to star in HBO series 'Hard Knocks'

It was announced March 25 that the New York Jets will be featured this summer for the 5 show documentary 'Hard Knocks' on HBO. In 2007 the show featured the Kansas City chiefs, '08 the Dallas Cowboys, and this past preseason the Cincinnati Bengals. The show features training camp drama that switches between focusing on big-time players and players struggling to make the team. This show is very interesting, and the no script reality adds to its appeal. Look for this season's series to be the best yet with outspoken head coach Rex Ryan, young QB Mark Sanchez, and newly acquired LaDainian Tomlinson. Watching the show could shed light on how the coming season will fair for the Jets, so don't miss this sneak peek of the upcoming season. If you are a football fan and haven't seen this show before, I hope you watch it this upcoming summer. By the way, please leave a comment if you have seen 'Hard Knocks' before. Thanks.

Jason Kidd's Party

Jason Kidd, turning 37 yesterday, had a party in Dallas. Jason Kidd was not going to let the Los Angeles Clippers ruin his day, as he stepped up in the fourth quarter after Nowitzki had been fouled out. Jason Kidd proved he still has his game, and continues to be one of the elite players in the league by putting up 26 points and 12 assists. Clearly, Kidd is still one of the best point guards today and can play by finishing off with a double-double. I think the Mavericks should be happy as well, knowing that they can depend on Kidd in the playoffs if for some reason Dirk Nowitzki can't play at the level he has been playing all season long. I still believe Kidd is one of the best point guards currently in the NBA, and in this game he proved me right. With both Kidd and Nowitzki playing at the best level all season, are the Mavericks a favorite in the western conference? Where do you think the the Mavericks will finish off in the the 2010-2011 playoffs? I think they have a good chance of becoming the conference champions and making it to the finals of the playoff.

Sam Stafford, Another Great Pitcher for Texas

Once again, the Texas Longhorns have found another great pitcher on the mound. The sophomore, Sam Stafford pitched three perfect innings, helping the Longhorns beat Rice 5-1. Stafford has been hiding his talent, starting his first game against Rice on the 23rd of March. Texas also has Chance Ruffin, a junior right-hander who has a nasty curve ball. Ruffin closed the game against Rice and continues adding to his 19th straight inning without allowing a run. Does it matter if Texas has one of the lowest batting averages in the Division 1A teams? With great pitchers for the Longhorns, they still managed a 16-5 record.

Messi gets payed more than Beckham???

Hey sports followers!

Today, the Argentina forward, from Barcelona was confirmed to be the highest played soccer player till date. He is said to have been paid $44 million last year, exceeding David Beckham, who is now the second most payed, having taken $40.5 million last year. Third place goes to Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, getting $40 million, and fourth place goes to his teammate Kaka, geting $25 million. Can you believe that a single person, gets payed $44 million? Part of the reason that he gets payed so much is from the endorsments he recieves from Pepsi, Gillette and Adidas. Who knew advertising could make you so much money? I find this Messi doesn't deserve this much money, knowing he isn't the best player on the field. Do you think Messi deserves all this money? Let me know what you think.

Another fun fact to know is that he scored two hat-tricks in a row this weekend past.

Constructive Criticism or Bad Influence

Most people have seen coaches, parents, or even teammates yelling negative feedback at players during a game. Should they stop yelling at players? Would yelling cause a player to lose their concentration or would it improve a player's performance?
